Running is fully allowed. Doing it exactly as intended is essentially taking a risk? I understand your perspective, but shouldn’t we stand up against this? This shouldn’t be happening.
It means the device functions properly with a functional computer, allowing you to operate. Unsupported implies it won’t even power on, showing a black screen or total failure. It throttles but still works. Gigabyte can’t handle anything reasonable, you’re using the incorrect cooler (not directing heat away from the board) and your fan setup is improper (extracting warm air from the video card and sending it through fins upward).
This all boils down to your definition of "supported" here Another thing is... I'm fairly certain there is an AMD "spec" given out which outlines a minimum base performance for mobo manufacturers so that they don't make AMD look bad... because lets be honest, your average consumer would probably blame the CPU for this issue.
