I recently set up my new system and started working on video projects again. I'm using a 5600X paired with an ID-Cooling SE-224-XT, running the Phanteks Eclipse P300A with three 140mm fans installed. It runs smoothly and rarely exceeds 70% during gameplay; however, I noticed that intensive tasks like exporting videos significantly increase its load. The 5600X consistently draws around 115W, which quickly raises the temperature to about 85°C. Should this be normal for the system? My SE-224-XT's fan is responding well, and I followed the standard installation procedure.

It's a new cooler with a 120mm size and a larger heatsink or fins compared to the standard model. What voltage do you use? I noticed your 3600 model generated a lot of heat, so I'm guessing you prefer lower voltage settings.

I used a 3600 with the stock cooler in my previous vehicle, and it never reached high temperatures, which is puzzling for me.

I adjusted my bios settings and turned off PBO. My highest temperature in Cinebench R20 fell from 85°C to 60°C, which cost about a 10% drop in score. It’s not too bad, but I’m thinking about using this as my own fix once I’ve got the cooler back in place.
