I’ll likely have to upgrade to an HP, so my top choice right now is to use a 1050Ti for now. I won’t need to install any other power supply or make changes to the existing system if I opt for the low-profile 1050Ti. I can just set it up and begin using it. It seems like it probably won’t require any additional PSU since it’s a low-profile model.

Yes, you can use any AMD GPU. You also have the option to use the 750Ti model, which will significantly reduce the cost to around 40$.

the low profile issue lies with the case, not the PSU.
if the graphics card requires an additional PCIe power connector, then you'll need a higher-quality PSU.
750TI is sufficient but may limit frame rates:

top-performing AMD cards often also need a more robust PSU since they draw more power
