Want to make a new computer? Need some advice or want feedback on how your PC setup is coming along?
I am building a new PC because I want it to last for years without needing another upgrade. I need your advice and suggestions that could fix any problems or save me money. So far, I chose this motherboard because I plan on using water cooling later in life. Here is what I'm looking at: GPU - ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 AMP Extreme INFINTY CPU - AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 16 Core, 32 Threads, 4.3GHz, 5.7GHz Turbo MOBO - ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO RAM - G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series (Intel XMP 3.0) DDR5 RAM 96GB (2x48GB) 6400MT/s CL32-39-39-102 PSU - 1000W be quiet! Power Zone 2, Black, Fully Modular, 80PLUS Platinum, Single Rail, 83.3A +12V, 140mm Fan, ATX 3.1 What I already own: M.2 - Samsung 980 PRO
You might want to check out RAM kits that have AMD's E.X.P.O listed on the box. You could skip the X870E motherboard chip and go for a B850 one instead. Looking for feedback and suggested changes that would fix the build or even save you money? Your thread should be styled with info asked here: *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice*. Here is how I ask things off first, because respect where respect is due - this copy comes from an Animal's How To Ask For New Build Advice Sticky. I made this page so there are too many posts lately asking for upgrade advice both on here and the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. and the community can give good suggestions.
Motherboard doesn't care if you use water cooling or not unless you have a special block inside it. This board does not look like it has those blocks, so it's still x870e and cheaper. I'd spend some of that money on a better power supply instead.
