I want my Windows taskbar to be a little bit transparent. I don't want a ghostly effect or one that sticks out like the default Windows look with heavy shadows. What I really need is something in the middle: I can still see the wallpaper behind it, but at the same time, I should feel that it's right there. Can anyone show me how to do this?

In this guide, they tell you how to use Registry Editor. Editing the registry isn't good idea, especially if you aren't sure about your choices. Make a registry backup and a full system backup before starting anything else.

It is easy to set this up manually on the TranslucentTB. Just pick Clear mode, pick an accent color, and move the transparency slider to the middle. This makes the taskbar very transparent. It will look a bit darker or lighter than usual depending on which color you choose.

Check out StarDock's post about Start11 v2. It comes with a small catch, but you'll get what you pay for.

Provided that I correctly understand the problem all that should be necessary is to turn off (or maybe ON) the transparency effects. FYI: https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/...text=Press the Windows Key + I,to turn Transparency effects off . You can easily google for similar links. Do not download any software claiming to "fix" the problem and/or stay out of the registry. If changine the transparency (either way) does not work then post again and provide more details.

We can stop just merging this into the old thread. These are two separate things. The question about thanks is what actually solved this issue for me.
