Wait for 5900X or receive 5800X tomorrow?
Hey everyone, I purchased my 5900X from eBay on December 14th, but the shipping is being delayed repeatedly. I was hoping to receive it by early March. I already have all the components ready for assembly, so I can't wait for the 6900X. My goal is to have a reliable PC for gaming and basic photo editing for about five to six years. Should I hold onto the 5900X or go with the 5800X instead? Losing performance from the 5900X seems like a big deal to me.
I’m worried about missing out on better performance in just four years if I skip waiting another month for an extra year or two. Right now I’m feeling impatient after this fourth delay. Also, I need the code for Far Cry 6 because they changed the redemption date from December 31, 2020 to January 30, 2021 (UK format). I’ve reached out a few days ago but haven’t heard back.
