I've been attempting to locate open ports for downloading live concerts using Vuze. No matter the port number I enter, errors persist. I've adjusted my internet provider's router and firewall settings. I've checked netstat and telnet, but the issue remains unresolved. I'm trying to establish connections to successfully download.

The problem could be related to McAfee. Although I generally don't suggest it, you might want to disable your computer's security software (McAfee) to test connectivity. If you manage to connect after bypassing the error messages, then reinstall McAfee and try to whitelist the site.

Who is responsible for reporting the error? Are you receiving a public IP address through your router? Review your router's status page, compare the "WAN address" with results from services like "whatismyip.com". And keep in mind, this may be crossing legal boundaries.

Vuze is reporting an issue where the public IP address appears on my router, and it matches the one shown in ipconfig. This concerns a website that lets users upload legally recorded concerts, raising questions about what actions might be considered unlawful.

These files aren't under any copyright protection. They're unauthorized recordings the artist permitted. I'm attempting to understand how to open ports for Vuze to improve peer connections and download performance.

Certainly, the word "bootleg" by itself indicates full illegality. If the artist permits a recording and distribution of the concert, it wouldn't be considered bootleg. It might be better to choose another term.
Did you verify that Vuze has permissions for both incoming and outgoing data?

Vuze holds ownership of both incoming and outgoing traffic. I frequently encounter NAT issues while attempting to utilize a particular port.

Updated the earlier message with a reference to the Vuze Wiki. Checked the NAT/firewall and received the expected result.

I've had trouble getting the Wiki to work. I tried following their suggested ports, but nothing happened. Each time I checked the NAT/firewall with a specific port, the error persisted.
