Hello, I have a few questions about getting an Oculus Rift. My current system has an Intel i5 7400 processor, a GTX 1060 graphics card, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and 3GB of GPU memory. Can this setup handle VR games at 90+ frames per second? Also, should I consider upgrading my PC instead of purchasing a VR headset? Thanks!

The GTX 1060 could achieve around 90 FPS in VR with medium to high settings for tougher titles. Upgrading your PC might also require a new display.

What level of detail? Yes, I’d upgrade, but it depends on your screen size. A 1070 would work well.

The display resolution is 1920x1080. Consider upgrading your graphics card instead of your processor because it will better support the visual demands of your current setup.

VR runs on the graphics card, not the CPU. It’s mostly single-core focused, so a current CPU can work, though a newer one is better. For VR, aim for at least a 1070, with 1080 or 1080 Ti offering a smoother experience.
