I just installed the RX 6650 xt GPU with my 3400G Ryzen APU. The motherboard is an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, and I'm using UEFI boot. When I turn on the high decoding mode, the system fails to start. Resetting the CMOS restores functionality. Is the 3400G not compatible with the resize bar? The resize bar was set by default in BIOS and works fine, except above 4G where it doesn't. It's strange I had high decoding enabled before the BIOS update and it worked, but earlier BIOS versions didn't support it. All drivers are current. Are there any missing seed settings? Also, even with UEFI boot, ZGA says CSM is not disabled. The resize bar appears in BIOS but shows as No in ZGA.

Reinstall the CPU. Ensure rebar is configured as a distinct option.

A resizable BAR can sometimes be a toggle in the top right corner, but you may also need to update firmware/UEFI/BIOS for it. Upgrading the CPU could boost performance significantly. The 3400G is decent but has limitations; a 5600 would be excellent depending on your games. If you mainly play MMO or multiplayer titles, I’d strongly consider this option.

Support what @Agall mentioned and consider upgrading to a CPU such as 5600 or 5500

It's resolved now. In the bios, the normal view shows a CSM/UEFI switch I had to activate. That happened after entering advanced settings and booting in UEFI mode. Once the resize bar appeared and the 4G toggle was on, everything functioned properly. It's a bit of an odd design, but it worked.

The Ryzen 5 3400G is classified as a Zen+ model (from the Ryzen 2000 line), not a Zen 2 part (Ryzen 3000 series). This means it doesn’t officially support re-bar. I appreciate you managing to get it running, but keep in mind it may not deliver the game performance boosts you anticipated.
