You're aiming for a VR-focused PC build on a budget. With an Intel Core I5, Nvidia 1660 graphics, 16GB RAM, and games like Skyrim VR or Fallout VR, it should handle the workload. It's a solid setup for less demanding VR experiences.

What financial range are you considering? In VR and the LGA1151 lineup, stability is key, but even top models like the i7 8700K and 9700K fall short of meeting today’s expectations, which already costs around 125 dollars just for the CPU.

My budget is very affordable, as long as I don’t have to give up much in performance.

Yes, the graphics card you pick will still perform well.

Uncertain about the I5, but the GPU handles games like Doom VFR through Steam and a link cable without issues. Playing Half-Life Alyx works fine, though the game needs at least 16 gigabytes of RAM. If space and budget allow, doubling the RAM would be ideal.
