Hello everyone, do any of you have experience with advanced tech? I own a Huawei E5186s-22a 4G router and want to explore using Private Internet Access or another VPN to bypass geo-restrictions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Various configurations can help achieve this. For example, refer to the NordVPN support page on connectivity settings. It may also work with PIA.

You might consider updating your router to DD-WRT firmware, as it includes OpenVPN, a modern and secure protocol. Which devices would you like to connect? Using multiple devices on a single VPN can affect performance and limit bandwidth. For instance, NordVPN allows up to 6 devices, PIA supports around 5, letting you access several servers.

WRT appears to have some problems currently, but it remains the top choice. I mainly want to use it on the PlayStation 4 because I rely heavily on it for streaming, and many services are restricted by location in Africa.

Would you like the VPN installed directly on each client device or set up on the router to automatically route all incoming traffic through the VPN?
