My PIA and di.fm indicated I was using an ad blocker. I've also seen occasional issues where the first YouTube ad plays incorrectly. Does using a VPN affect ad performance?

Occasionally, advertisements are limited by location. Changing your IP address to another region via a VPN can prevent you from seeing those ads since they aren’t available there. Beyond that, I’m not sure about the full details.

No, I don't use the PIA app. It has a feature called MACE which is an ad blocker.
