Voltage surge in Ryzen 5 2600x
When the system operates under load, the voltage typically drops between 1.35 and 1.41 volts. This reduction could potentially affect performance but won't necessarily cause permanent damage to your CPU unless it remains outside safe operating limits for extended periods.
I was concerned and assumed there was an issue, but I'm just starting out.
I also have a Ryzen 5 2600x, and most of the time it runs at 0.8 volts when idle, with occasional jumps up to 1.4V. Several other users are noting the same pattern, saying it’s normal behavior. There’s also a Timmy Joe PC Tech video about the 2700x that briefly covers this issue.
