1.4V works well when temperature stays under 70°C, otherwise it drops to about 1.35V (up to 80°C). Above that, cooling becomes a serious issue.

This BIOS set voltage differs from the actual delivered voltage you see in tools like CPU-Z because of the LLC circuit. The peak temperature reported is likely higher than the average value.

I'm using 1.35 delivered, 5 GHz with AVX-512 enabled. On an older Prime95 95 system without AVX, I'm around 85 with one core occasionally reaching 90. On the newer Prime95 95 with AVX-512 small FFT, that core nears the maximum, while the rest stay in the 90s. Both run stably over time, and since I don't run any AVX-heavy tasks, this setup seems safe. It looks like the silicon isn't particularly well-suited for high clock speeds without AVX support.

If you're not working with AVX, increase the AVX offset to 10 to prevent temperatures from rising too high.

I understand @Jurrunio is right—it’s a bit too hot for long sessions. Are you using something cooler? My 6600k also has a single hot core, and I keep it below 80°C.

I started with a 5-year-old H100i and it struggled at 1.3V and 4.8/4.7 AVX, leading to cooler warnings. I swapped it for an NH-D15 with a Kryonaut module and a 15°C cooler. I increased the voltage to OC higher, and everything is now stable with both fans running smoothly in a meshify c mini. The fan curves are hitting around 75% capacity, giving me about 150W TDP for non-AVX and 170W for AVX. The NH-D15 is rated for around 250W, but I’m not sure what that means in practice. Raising the AVX Offset helps lower temperatures too. I turned off BCLK Adaptive Voltage and it seems to make a difference.
