Hi everyone, I'm a bit new to English so please forgive any mistakes. I own a Dell Inspiron gaming model 15 7000. It's not in great shape anymore, but over the past year I've noticed frequent lag when playing low-demand games like LoL and Valorant. I didn't tweak anything because it didn't really impact my gameplay much. However, in the last three months the lag dropped from 150fps to just 1-10fps. I checked my CPU and GPU performance using CPUID HWMonitor and here are the results:

The first picture displays the gameplay during play, and the second captures the scene when at rest. I’m noticing lag spikes again; the games perform fine until the voltage begins to decrease.

You identified the issue, but your focus is off. The CPU is overheating, so under heavy use it either can't increase performance much or actually reduces speed. This leads to lower voltage (it's trying to protect itself). Get a can of computer dust and blow into each vent opening, making sure loose parts stay secure.

The 97C° figure comes from a Cinebench evaluation, not a gaming test. I already fixed the setup two days back. I've also added a fresh thermal paste.
