This voltage is significantly too high for the 4.8Ghz frequency. At around 1.38V, it should be sufficient to achieve strong results with unlimited OCCT and P95 performance. It’s not an excessive level—it’s merely a very high setting.

It's running smoothly at i9 speed, everything seems okay. Consider using a negative offset for better performance. The engine temperature of 80°C is within acceptable limits.

I don’t even recall how we got this 4.8GHz model. It’s a chip right out of the package, I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Alright, I’ll give it a shot.

The standard voltage configurations for all Intel processors are set too high. This approach ensures lasting reliability. It worked well during the development of 4-core CPUs. However, when creating 10-core processors on the older 14nm process, it can lead to excessive power use and heat generation. A 10850K model is rejected in this case. The existence of the 10850K line reflects Intel’s decision to eliminate cores that required too much voltage for a 10900K configuration. I generally steer clear of default voltages on any Intel CPU, but especially on a 10850K. There are notable improvements when adjusting voltage to match the CPU’s actual needs. At standard settings, the CPU multiplier fluctuates between 52 and 48 based on active cores. Once voltage is optimized, running at 5.0 GHz becomes straightforward regardless of core count, using significantly less voltage than current defaults. Edit - I’ve learned that some Gigabyte boards tend to accept higher CPU voltages than necessary.

I spent some time working on my CPU. I attempted to adjust the negative vcore offset to -0.105mV and got the outcome: I’m hoping the voltages are sufficient for the 10850K, maybe I should tweak further? Thanks!

The accuracy of the CPU-Z voltage measurement on your motherboard isn't clear. You may need to apply a -150 mV adjustment for stability. The cache ratio you're using matters—lowering it from 47X to 46X helped significantly. The default setting for the 10850K appears to be 43X. If your CPU runs smoothly at 5.0 GHz with all cores at 74°C, you might not need any changes. Your system is performing well without extra voltage.
