Voice hesitation during gameplay in Battlefield V
Voice hesitation during gameplay in Battlefield V
Hello! I’m experiencing an issue with Borderlands 3, where my frame rate consistently hits 140 FPS, but I’m still encountering significant stuttering—sometimes lasting up to half a second. This only occurs in BFV, and it’s the only game that exhibits this behavior. I can run other games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Overwatch, COD MW, Fortnite, and Apex Legends without any issues, even while using RTSS to cap my FPS at 140 and G-Sync with Vsync enabled in every title I play. I’m baffled by this problem, and I've attempted various solutions, including switching between DX11 and DX12, disabling DXR, adjusting graphics settings, enabling/disabling memory limiting—none of which have resolved the issue. I’m wondering if anyone can advise on how to fix this, or if it's simply a BFV-specific problem.
My PC is capable of running the game smoothly, and since other games perform flawlessly with my current setup—my GPU hits 77-78 Celsius and my CPU averages 55-60 Celsius—I don't believe it’s a hardware limitation. My system includes:
* GPU: 2080 TI
* CPU: i9-9900k
* RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance
* M.2 SSD
Furthermore, all my drivers and operating system (Windows 10 64-bit) are up to date. I’ve searched online forums, but most users describe their stuttering as smaller, more frequent hiccups—my freezes are much longer, often half a second, which can significantly impact gameplay. Thank you! 🙂
Hey! That’s you, right? You were the one who assisted me with my G-Sync a few weeks back! Haha!
Yes, it could be that my solid-state drive is causing the pauses because it’s consistently much worse at the game's start, but there are still occasional stutters later on – it’s quite strange, as this doesn't happen in other games. I usually experience one or two brief stutters within the initial seconds of a game, but after that point it runs smoothly. However, in Battlefield 5, the gameplay is far from fluid! When I anticipated that investing $4000 in a gaming PC would eliminate my frame rate and stutter issues across all games, I was completely mistaken! Haha.
I’m experiencing some minor difficulties and would appreciate any assistance you can offer. If other games run smoothly, the problem is likely specific to the current game itself – perhaps due to memory issues, incorrect settings, graphics driver problems, or outdated updates. If it were a hardware fault, the issues would manifest with all programs on your computer, simplifying diagnosis and allowing you to investigate game-specific settings without suspecting a system-wide problem.
I understand this is frustrating. It might be helpful to explore the topic further by conducting additional research about the game, experimenting with different phrasing in your search queries and examining recent forums. The availability of information often varies based on how users articulate their questions; for instance, you could try searching for “Battlefield 5 stuttering at the start,” or “Bf5 consistently freezing,” or "Battlefield 5 high memory consumption," with terms like "9900k" or “high-end” included.
Additionally, consider examining your system’s background processes using Task Manager to determine if any applications are unintentionally consuming resources. It could also be beneficial to test a different graphics driver. Finally, check if you’re utilizing GeForce Experience for optimization settings within Battlefield 5.
Explore alternative options for your Nvidia graphics card by investigating potential issues related to the system’s configuration. Consider that a particular setting within Nvidia might be causing problems, and research optimal configurations for Battlefield V and experiment with both the game’s default settings or manually adjusting them. Capture a visual representation of the settings that Graphics Engine selects, and if you identify any problematic parameters, use this image as a point of reference for further examination.
