VMWare ESXI is experiencing crashes after starting Linux virtual machines, and the system fails to boot.
I built a machine to run as a VMWare ESXI host version 6.7. I installed Windows 10 there and it started normally. When trying Ubuntu 18.04, the installation completed but after a short period the VM shut down unexpectedly, showing an error saying "The operation is not allowed in the current state." The Windows VM still functions properly. I also tested Ubuntu 18.04 and CentOS 7.5, getting the same issue. I'm looking for possible solutions.
I haven't tested "Linux 64bit other." I used Ubuntu 64-bit in a VM and CentOS 75 x64 for CentOS. I'll try the alternative now.
What components are available? If the system is older than Skylake, you might need to deploy ESXi 6.5.
