I'm figuring out which VR headset to purchase next (my sister has already got my HP WMR) but I'll need a separate space if I buy a Vive because of the room requirements. I'm curious about how far the cables can go before they start noticeably affecting performance.

Consider increasing the length of the cables since they are a set size. Alternatively, purchasing a Valve Index would be a much better option.
