I recently upgraded from 1060 to rx 6700, thinking it was a GPU problem. I used DDU in safe mode, but games still appeared pixelated and blurry. I tested HDMI and DisplayPort, applied image sharpening, changed performance settings, and even switched monitors—still no improvement. After the upgrade from 1060 everything worked fine for a while, but then it started degrading. Updated BIOS and drivers didn’t help. GPU usage dropped from 80% to 40% in Minecraft. Tried another GPU and the same issue occurred—could it be a PSU problem? I reinstalled Windows twice, then switched from Windows 10 to 11; CPU temps stayed around 50-70°C.
I don't believe the issue is related to the PSU. When you mention things began worsening, does it affect both the RX 6700 and the 1060, or just the RX 6700? If it's happening with both, it's likely not a GPU problem. How high is your CPU usage while playing those games?
It was available in both versions—some parts were fully on, others had a 15% cut on Minecraft, and DayZ had 30 to 40% of the content.
Have you checked your PC benchmarks? This could be useful. Your CPU might be limiting your GPU performance, though that's rare. Check power plan settings to ensure your CPU runs at full capacity in maximum and minimum states, aiming for 100% in the latter. Verify your GPU power plan is set to optimal performance.
