Visual Surges in Battlefield V
Hey Tech friends,
I'm trying to fix these graphical spikes happening in Battlefield 4, 1, V, and Battlefront 2. Everyone I search for shows 'lag spike' instead of actual in-game visuals. The video I shared is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjW6YylyRWU

Just watched the video and understood what you mean, sorry lmfao.
It looks like this might be an in-game problem, similar to some games with strange bugs, like the Hunter cloaks in Destiny. They sometimes stretch across the screen, possibly due to a physics or graphics issue—not related to your device or connection. Please let me know if you're mistaken.
If it only happens in Battlefield and you're not having issues with other games, that could be a likely cause.
You might want to try changing the resolutions and see if it resolves the issue.
Have you tried reinstalling the games?
I'll create a new reply to help future readers avoid long quotes. It affects not just BFV but all EA titles I play, including BF4, BF1 and Star Wars Battlefront 2. I reinstalled the games before upgrading storage and have faced problems with these EA games since about 1.5 years ago. Initially I thought it was just BF4, but now it seems to appear with each new game. It doesn't necessarily break the games and doesn't happen every time, which is why I've managed to tolerate it for a while. It might be related to overclocking too aggressively, but the only change I made was setting the RAM to the intended 3000MHz in the MB BIOS.
