Hello, I'm trying to understand this graphic problem you're experiencing. After several years of dealing with similar issues, it seems like a staircase effect appears in your images. For instance, downloaded background images from sources like Corsairs show a staircase pattern everywhere. The colors also look distorted, but the main concern is the staircase appearance. Another case on Googles Dash page displays the same issue. While gameplay itself isn't affected, the loading screens are quite unpleasant. I'm using a 1080 ASUS PC with Windows 10, an i7-7700 processor. Drivers are up to date and the BIOS was recently adjusted, though this problem existed before any updates. Could you provide more details? I'm happy to help if you share additional information.
Photos and screenshots included. Also, which operating system is used for the display?
Sorry for the slow reply, I was caught up. My main display is an ASUS ROG PG258Q with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate.
What frequency is displayed on your display? What settings are you using for screen resolution? Are you enabling V-Sync or software-based V-Sync? You likely shouldn't be. Try setting the monitor to 120Hz. Use Freesync (requires AMD GPU), G-Sync (requires nVidia GPU) if available, and ensure it's active in drivers. Activate Enhanced Sync (AMD) or Fast Sync (nVidia) in drivers.
I won't lie, I'm still figuring things out. I attempted to adjust the Hz using the NVIDIA control panel, but it didn't make any difference. I think V-Sync isn't enabled? (I assumed that was just a game setting). G-Sync is active in the panel, but I'm not sure how to check its status through the drivers. Fast sync isn't clear to me either. Could you help me understand this better?
Have you attempted to restore the monitor's default settings through its OSD menu?
