You have an i5 7500 but only a GTX 660. Would it be better to skip the card and rely on the built-in graphics? Since this CPU is newer, the onboard graphics might perform better than the card. However, you’d likely need just one monitor, using the second for TV or work. Opinions are welcome, but keep in mind a better GPU may arrive in mid-January, making the wait worthwhile.
You might find it helpful to compare the GTX 660 with Intel's built-in graphics for gaming performance.
Alright, understood. The 660 is indeed an older piece, but that’s clear. And regarding the montiors—there’s definitely something to note about them.
I'm not completely naive, you don't have to act like I'm. I got the point, but why isn't it linked to the GPU? Are there missing connectors? For example, one screen needs VGA, or both require HDMI and the GPU lacks that... That's the context I was missing, which I mentioned in my earlier post (the part you omitted when quoting me).
GTX 660 offers significant advantages for gaming, especially when checking benchmarks like GTA V. On 1080p high settings you achieve about 50fps, whereas Intel HD Graphics 630 delivers roughly 30fps at 720p medium. The GTX 660 provides several outputs for multiple displays and can leverage integrated graphics on your motherboard for secondary monitors. This setup clearly outperforms the older CPU model in gaming performance. It seems like a solid choice unless you're missing something obvious.
