If you set your virtual RAM to 40GB, it won’t directly allow your full 4GB physical RAM to be used. The system will only utilize the allocated virtual memory space.
Virtual memory helps keep data that isn’t currently being used but still needed in RAM. Because Windows requires many processes to stay running, you can’t have all your tasks on just 4GB of physical memory. The solution is adding more real RAM.
