I'm a university student who moved to Linux as a student, so I might need a Windows 10 setup later. I'm trying to run just a Windows 10 VM but keep facing problems. After about 5 to 30 seconds of the installer, it crashes—screen turns black, then the virtual box window appears as before. I've shared a question on Oracle forums but haven't gotten any answers. The first log file (Windows 10-2018-08-03-00-37-15) said nothing unusual, though it might still help. Would anyone know how to run Linux with a Windows 10 guest, especially with a Ryzen CPU? Also, I've used NVIDIA drivers 390 for Ubuntu 18.04 and saved the recent.log file.

I've learned that Ryzen can be inconsistent with virtualization. What configuration did you use for the VM? The preset options you select during setup influence its startup behavior.

I confirmed AMD's virtualization was active and verified all settings in the BIOS to ensure everything was correct.
