It isn't because it appears poor; it's because it was meant to look better. Most of the time it performs poorly. I thought the game was fine, though.
Sorry about that, it seems the graphics were reduced for the PC version without a valid reason.
I also don't understand why some say it performs poorly when it worked on my GTX 650.
Max settings for GTX 980 are 58 fps. SMAA in GTA V v90 hits 90 fps with double MFAA. At 65 fps, 1440p on GTX 980 feels terrible.
The graphics were reduced, but think about the mod that added all those impressive visuals on PC without much impact on speed. Remember how Ubisoft made a big change just to hurt us? Watch Dogs is why I won’t pre-order any game. It was meant to be better, smoother, and more refined. They broke trust! Legos even makes the worst scenes safe for kids.
It doesn't seem bad at all, especially considering the worst performance, but it doesn't match their usual standard. That's the problem.
