Hi, your remote connection works, but remote Event Viewer isn’t downloading logs. Please check the screenshot and let me know if you need further assistance.

You mentioned being part of the local Administrators group, did you?

I modified the NTFS access for the %WINDIR%\System32\WinEvt\Logs folder, assigned Local and Network services full privileges.

Would you like me to include your username in the local administrators group? You don’t have to change the directory file. Also, be sure to launch Event Viewer with elevated privileges—UAC can be tricky.

Add your IP to the group as requested. After connecting, enter the other person's email and password, and you should be granted access. If you still face issues, double-check the connection settings.

No local account exists on either device. Can you explore alternative methods to gain access?

When using the event viewer to connect to another computer, ensure the "Connect as another user" option is selected. Click "set user," then enter a username and password that matches the remote machine's admin account. For RDP connections, avoid using the Start Menu tools; instead, use them on the remote device. If you can access the remote system with those credentials, it’s likely administrative, allowing you to launch Event Viewer from the remote desktop interface: 1. Launch 2. Open Remote Desktop Connection 3. Input the IP address 4. Authenticate with the provided credentials 5. Within the RDP window, launch Event Viewer. Remember not to alter folder permissions in %WINDIR%\System32.
