My perspective is simple—I respect yours! The issue with BFV after the trailer lies in how it portrays the war. When BF1 was released, the trailer used a Seven Nation Army video, which captures the spirit of WWI well: trench warfare, arm races, and the introduction of tanks. Now, the trailer ends with a soldier facing a massive zeppelin—something fresh for its time. It offers an immersive feel without straying from context, unlike later versions that felt like a rushed action clip.
What bothers me is that the trailer didn’t capture the excitement I felt before it launched. Instead of showing key moments like the German advance on Paris or the D-Day landings, it focused on fast-paced scenes that reminded me of Call of Duty. The repeated dash-slide mechanic is familiar, but in real life during WWII, soldiers didn’t move that way.
My concern is that this trailer risks turning BF1 into a cliché, losing its depth and respect for the era. It’s not about realism—it’s about preserving the essence. I’m not here to judge the game itself, but to question why it feels so disconnected from what made BF1 special.
SUMMARY: The trailer missed the mark by prioritizing flash over authenticity, potentially diluting the impact of the original experience.
PS. I know women fought in many wars—France, Italy, USSR...—but this still feels like a misstep.
Greetings!
P.S. I’m impressed by the women’s contributions, but this still feels off.
I made the changes to the post, sorry for any trouble @Crunchy Dragon, it wasn’t my aim.
The reveal trailer focused on scripted moments rather than gameplay, capturing some chaotic Battlefield vibes. It’s clear this version doesn’t fully showcase the game’s strengths. Still, it’s confirmed that the actual experience offers many engaging features, and the gameplay in Battlefield 5 runs at a more relaxed pace compared to Battlefield 1.
