Using Mac, iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 really makes me think macOS isn’t quite as smooth as the others. I get why Macs are great for productivity, but sometimes the glass can be a bit distracting. Compared to iOS and iPadOS 26, it feels less polished. What do you think?
Control center and other OS components appear sufficiently smooth. Honestly, I’m more satisfied that some of the apps received much-needed care in Mac OS26—Apple Music now feels far less outdated compared to the previous liquid glass effects.
The M1 MacBook Air remains running under Mac OS Sonoma. The Liquid Ass interface isn't appealing to you.

You'd likely notice the extra glassy appearance in areas like the menu bar and dock. However, since most of your tools don’t use SwiftUI, achieving that look isn’t feasible. The transparency in Pages, Keynote, and Teams is limited, and opening those apps didn’t reveal more glass effects.
