I would try installing that driver first, then proceed with the download.

Probably reinstalling the drivers again. Since you're not very tech-savvy, that makes sense. DDU might be risky, but a normal reinstall could help. I guess I tried using DDU and then reinstalled the driver you mentioned, but it didn’t solve the problem.

I believe the problem wasn't resolved in this case.

It looks like you uncovered the problem after testing thoroughly. Initially, I checked the monitor for issues but found no problems—only frame drops were linked to performance issues. I reviewed all settings and settings comparisons, yet nothing was clear. Then I noticed that restarting my new PC eliminated any frame drops or stuttering for a short period after booting up, which led me to investigate the programs running at startup. It turned out Norton had a game optimization feature that was causing the issue; turning it off resolved the problem completely.

I discovered the solution. I attempted it urgently a few hours ago and it seems like a relief has been removed. Nvidia shared a forum thread about the problem. Simply download the .reg file, execute it, and restart your system. This will disable the multiplane overlay in your Windows registry, which can cause complications for dual monitors with varying refresh rates. If you don’t see any changes, try the additional .reg file Nvidia offers to restore MPO support. I’m not sure if this will actually help, but if it doesn’t, you can easily undo it. So far, I haven’t experienced any issues after turning off MPO, though there might be a risk that fullscreen apps won’t run smoothly. Hopefully this works!

I encountered slow performance while playing Bo6 and noticed YouTube or Netflix running in the background on the secondary display. I tried various solutions but it didn’t resolve the issue. My main concern was the Steelseries Moments/Gameplay capture feature, which caused frame drops and lag once turned off.
