Consider a CPU that matches the Blue Iris's capabilities. Their site suggests at least a Pentium, with i7 being ideal. A mid-range i3 from the 6th to 7th generation could handle multiple cameras, but if you need more power for better performance, opting for something stronger would be better.

Haha. Confirmed. Are you planning to use a dedicated machine? What are your expectations regarding the cost? By the way, a 6th generation i7 might be too much power for your needs. You could likely get more performance with a higher budget. If you're considering a new purchase, I can suggest alternatives instead.

For viewing cameras outside your house, use the Blue Iris app. It lets you monitor them remotely with just one license. Let me know if you need anything else!

I’m planning to use a dedicated machine. I’m considering an older Dell, Acer or Lenovo office PC. My budget is around 300 to 350 USD, and I’d prefer something more affordable.
