YouTube performs differently depending on the browser used. In Chrome it may skip frames in high-frame-rate videos, while other browsers handle them smoothly. This inconsistency can be resolved by adjusting video settings or using alternative players.

I've already attempted that as well, and I've turned on/disabled GPU acceleration for video encoding, but it didn't make a difference.

What specifications are you looking at? Chrome usually struggles with high frame rates or resolutions, but Internet Explorer seems to handle it well. It's strange how Google controls YouTube and they should be able to optimize it properly.

Are the frames dropping or can you view them clearly? At higher speeds like 1.5x or 2x, many frames disappear, but it doesn’t bother me. At normal playback, only a few frames vanish occasionally, depending on the content.
