There are subtle hints within the text that suggest certain spoilers. After purchasing this title along with four others during EA Play and Steam holiday promotions, I chose to begin anew rather than rely on Game Pass saves, which I suspect wouldn’t transfer. My priority is Atomic Heart since I’m familiar with it well, but I spent a long session playing The Callisto Protocol the previous night and found it equally engaging.

I opted not to use HDR or RT formats; perhaps later Mundfish will adopt those features. Still, I’ve marked key objectives in the video, as this single clip covers the Prologue and the entire Vavilov Complex—the core starting area of the game. I also added timestamps because many viewers won’t have the patience to watch a continuous 2-hour-and-48-minute video without pause.

The goals here differ: one involves locating Viktor Petrov, the bot saboteur, another seeks an exit from the complex by collecting specific polymer containers and battling various enemies. Along the way, there are puzzles, though none as intricate as the upcoming testing zones.

The final part, where you escape and place the last canisters after retrieving the final one, was particularly rewarding. It offers intense combat and features Evgeniya Miroshnichenko, the renowned opera singer who sings "Queen of the Night." This aria is considered an elaborate melody performed by a single voice—once you hear it, its meaning becomes clear without needing explanation.

Evgeniya was a celebrated Ukrainian opera artist, beloved worldwide, making her an ideal choice to conclude this segment.

If just this game had RT, I would've really liked it much more than I should've on stream. Still, it still looks great.

We understand, and we just hope they keep their commitment in the future. I really wish to see a properly executed HDR as well.

This continues from where we concluded at the Vavilov Complex, finishing just before entering the VDNH building. The narrative centers on navigating a path out of the village you arrive in after leaving the Vavilov Complex, taking a train to the VDNH location, making a side detour at Testing Ground 1, discovering a route into the outer park of the VDNH, confronting the HOG-7 ("Hedgie"), and finally entering the building.

This version repeats the same content but condenses it to under half the previous length, around one hour and sixteen minutes. Timestamps have been added for clarity, and key points marked for easy reference.

Outdoors, it’s crucial to avoid detection by excessive bots or cameras, as this triggers higher alerts and reinforcements. Staying within boundaries and tackling threats individually is effective. While clearing many bots can disrupt their driving, the environment often creates unexpected visual effects.

Accessing Testing Grounds demands navigating a camera terminal. These terminals are located in elevated structures known as Volans, on compact platforms with spiral staircases, or even on building rooftops. Cameras may also control or reboot Hawks through their terminals—robot surveillance units positioned higher up. During the first run, avoiding bots is especially tense while exploring routes and selecting terminals.

The initial testing ground shown here is straightforward, but later segments become significantly more challenging. For this part, the HOG-7 presents the most difficult combat. Often, he pauses for extended periods before opening his panels to release heat, which seems consistent with my understanding.

Outdoor zones tend to appear much less vibrant compared to indoor areas, so color correction was applied during compression to enhance the visuals.
