Video game suggestion for an elderly person with disabilities
My grandfather enjoys playing classic games like Might and Magic IV, but Parkinson’s now makes it hard for him to play some titles. He’s 87 years old and just wants to enjoy his final years with some gaming. Are there simpler games similar to Might and Magic that don’t need a powerful computer and are available on Steam? His laptop has only 12gb of RAM, an 11th generation Intel i5 processor, and an Intel Iris Xe graphics card. Lol
Gwent stands out first in my mind. It has minimal requirements, is available on Steam, and the base game is free to play.
Checked out Lords of the Realm 2. It seems like a game about English nobles and a royal succession conflict. I haven’t played that title before. The idea is straightforward: you’re a noble in England, the king passes away, and you join forces with three others to wage a civil war.
Lords of the Realm II on Steam
The esteemed Lords of England are eyeing the English throne! Gather your troops and conquer their castles in this timeless strategy experience that mixes turn-based and real-time gameplay.

The original Rome Total war could run fine. It was quite enjoyable when I was younger.
The Civilization series is quite good, especially 5 IMO. Stray is also decent, though with the Parkinson's condition he might benefit from a 'controller'? I’d suggest mentioning the Sniper Elite lineup as they’re enjoyable and manageable with settings, but his tremor could still be an issue. The older Warhammer titles like 'Dawn of War' are quite entertaining. Early Warcraft games remain fun too. Another space-focused option is Starcraft IIRC, which shares a similar vibe. Just keep an eye on the top options. As for the laptop, it’s worth checking if it can handle them and what temperatures will be during extended play.
