I'm experiencing issues with stuttering and frame rate fluctuations in various games, despite having reasonably powerful components.
Games I play that exhibit these problems include:
CSGO: Frame rates frequently rise to 270 but often drop as low as 130. SETTINGS: High
Rainbow Six Siege: Frame rates fluctuate between 110 and 180, with occasional stutters even when the frame rate is stable. SETTINGS: High
PUBG: Consistent stuttering occurs with frame rates ranging from 60 to 100, which feels similar to a 30 FPS experience. SETTINGS: High
My PC is only one month old and these problems have persisted since I assembled it.
My GPU and CPU temperatures remain within acceptable limits during gameplay – the GPU rarely exceeds 73°C, while the CPU typically maintains around 60°C.
I've attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
Performed three passes in Memtest
Executed a clean installation of Windows 10
Also used DDU to completely remove and then reinstall my drivers
I recently experienced a problem with my system that was causing pauses while playing Forza...it was incredibly frustrating. What security software are you utilizing? I had been using Avast. The instant I removed it and switched back to the Windows Defender built-in program, Chrome became significantly faster and nearly all of the stuttering in Forza disappeared – simple and worth trying.
