In general, playing the recorded file works well with VLC, but when using Sony Vegas for preview, color issues appear. The color changes are visible during playback, yet they remain after rendering. It might be related to how the software handles the file format or encoding. Check the settings in Vegas and compare them with VLC’s configuration.

It might be related to your rendering preferences. Are you seeing the preview at the highest setting? Downscaling might cause problems, but I'm not sure if that's the case.

I experimented with various options, but results remain unchanged at the moment.

This could relate to a codec issue or a Sony Vegas problem.

Check if the problem exists in other Sony Vegas versions. Open the files in VLC Player to see if they display correctly. If not, the issue is likely tied to Vegas itself. Look at your view transform settings under project properties and ensure they’re disabled. Incorrect settings can cause color distortions. The recorded files may have inherent codec artifacts. Consider using a different recording method. Debug accordingly!

The files function well in VLC and GOM players. I used x264vfw codec before, but the transform issue persists—can’t even enable it. It seems nothing has changed since the last time, so I’m unsure what’s causing it. Feel free to share the original file if you’d like a review.

The codec being used is Sony's AVC format with an internet 1080p preset.

You're experiencing an issue with the preview window displaying the problem even before rendering starts.
