This setup isn't necessarily a powerful machine. A 4770k with 16GB RAM and a 780TI aren't considered high-end.

Corel is a 32-bit NLE which limits its RAM usage to 4GB, meaning it can only utilize up to 50% of your processor power. I plan to test Adobe Premiere to compare current render times with what you're experiencing now.

Ha, it is for most users, I'm not talking pro grade, it's an i7, which I barley utilize, 16gb ram again most stuff don't use it, and 780ti be gpu that isn't pro grade or 1000 bucks

It also reminded me how much faster everything ran back then, with the CPU nearly at full capacity and things operating extremely quickly.
