I'm looking for ways to reduce the size of my large video files while keeping quality intact. I'm currently using Handbrake with a custom preset, which gives good results but isn't the most efficient. I'm curious if there are other programs or presets that offer better compression without sacrificing clarity. Please share any suggestions you have. I've attached a screenshot of my current Handbrake settings for reference. Thanks!

The custom preset performs exceptionally well, yet the screenshot contradicts this by showing the opposite result.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I corrected the labels and replaced the image with the accurate ones. What do you think?

Choose the slow setting instead of medium. The encoding duration will increase noticeably, so try a few files first. If you succeed, placebo offers the optimal outcome. The RF slider controls quality and size—higher numbers yield smaller files but reduced clarity. Adjust according to your comfort level.

The pop-up indicates different settings for standard and high definition, but the scale below suggests a relationship between RF numbers and quality. This means the information might not match exactly.

Unclear why the recommendation favors a higher RF for high-definition material. As noted, reduced RF typically results in superior quality and larger file sizes.
