Have you checked if you chose the exact resolution? The video sometimes looks poor even when it claims to auto-select 1080p. You might want to review the "Stats for nerds" to see the current bitrate.

Many streaming platforms automatically tweak video quality based on what they believe is optimal, which might not match your preferences or technical setup. Tap the GEAR icon and select "Stats for Nerds" for in-depth playback details, such as the current or ideal resolution versus the player's display size.

I don’t get the meaning behind these numbers, but I hope you can find some useful information from here. Both displays should be regular 1080p, without any extra features.
