I'm unsure, I'm not a motherboard technician. Have you looked in CPU-Z to verify the PCI-E speed listed, even with the BIOS configured for force x1? CPU-Z can display the actual speed the slot is using.

I'm not a motherboard technician, but have you looked in CPU-Z to see what the PCI-E speed shows even when the BIOS forces x1? CPU-Z displays the actual speed the slot uses. It seems odd that it would differ from the standard setting, and I don't think it's my graphics card—unless I'm mistaken.
