VID and Vcore question
VID and Vcore question
I'm adjusting the i5-3570K to 4.4Ghz on an Asus P8z77-V LK. Began with manual voltage at 1.250 and LLC high. Stable until I changed the offset to +0.045. Under Prime95 load, VID is 1.1709 and Vcore ranges from 1.176 to 1.184. Temperatures are low at 71°C during peak loads. I'm aiming to align Vcore with VID for better thermal control. Am I on the right track or should I increase Vcore voltage? The rig is stable. Thanks in advance.
I'm adjusting the i5-3570K to 4.4Ghz on an Asus P8z77-V LK. Began with manual voltage of 1.250, LLC on high. Stable. Changed to offset at +0.045. Under Prime95 load I see a VID of 1.1709 and a Vcore between 1.176 and 1.184. Temperatures are low at the highest load. I'm aiming to match VID with Vcore to maintain lower temps. Is my approach correct, or should I increase Vcore voltage? The rig is running smoothly. Thanks in advance.
