We received Viasat and the technician explained that splitters won’t work; adding more devices requires a switch. I need to purchase a 14-port switch to connect everything—three gaming PCs, four other PCs, and a Roku/Apple TV box. So far, I’ve run five Cat6 Ethernet cables, each about 50–75 feet long. Is it safe to use 150 feet of wire in other rooms? For the switch, I’m unsure which brand to choose. Additional details: Download speeds up to 100Mbps upload; unlimited data plan available.

The specified length meets the requirements for a gigabit connection. A managed gigabit switch from reputable brands like Amazon should work well... Netgear | TP-Link
