Viable?
Hey everyone, so I'm thrilled to finally have my new PC set up! I’m really keen to get some feedback on the build itself and would love to know if there were any areas where I could have made different choices.
I went with a Ryzen 5 3600X processor, paired with an RTX 2070 Super graphics card. It's all housed on a Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming motherboard, with 8GB of HyperX Fury DDR4 RAM running at 3200MHz (dual-channel). I’ve got a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition for cooling, and storage is covered by a 1TB Seagate hard drive and a 500GB Crucial MX500 M.2 SSD. To power everything, I’ve got a Riotoro Enigma G2 850W PSU with an 80Plus Gold rating, and a Riotoro CR500.
I really wish I’d opted for a 3600 processor and a B450 motherboard – that way I could have easily installed 16GB of RAM. A few users are reporting that some 400-series motherboards might require a BIOS update before they can properly recognize and run with the 3600X chip.
