VGA light with a black screen
VGA light with a black screen
Hi All,
I just built my first PC about a month ago. Everything is brand new and there were no problems before. Now, when I try to turn it on, I sometimes see a black screen and the VGA error light turns red on the motherboard. But after a hard reboot, everything returns to normal. I’ve checked the cables – they’re all connected properly, the GPU is in place, and I have the latest driver. However, I don’t have the newest BIOS (it’s version F30), and I’m worried it might be a BIOS issue or maybe the power supply is faulty. I’m really concerned this could cause my new PC to fail.

Welcome to the forums, new member!
Are you using the motherboard Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX V2?
Yes, but your BIOS isn't the newest (current version is F30).
If that's the case, you need BIOS updates; visit the support page for details.
After ensuring you have the latest chipset drivers from AMD's site, flash the BIOS to version F33b.
Finally, clear the CMOS for best results.
