I've completed a new CPU upgrade from 3600 to 5800X, but after reassembly it freezes on the BIOS splash screen. Two red LEDs are lit—VGA and BOOT—and the motherboard is an ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4. I updated the BIOS to support the 5000 series, but the issue persists. I've tried reseating the GPU, cables, and even removed the CMOS battery to reset the system. The GPU shows up briefly before restarting again. I also encountered an FTPM error, so I pressed Y to try a reset. It’s stuck back to where it was before. Unfortunately, I don’t have a spare GPU to test. Any other suggestions would be appreciated?
This seems like a possible BIOS glitch or compatibility problem. You might want to disable TPM in BIOS, though I’m not sure how it functions. If you haven’t changed it before, it could cause trouble. Be careful—TPM and BitLocker can lock your drives without a password, so turning it off might be risky. Could I access the BIOS even without the device installed? The interface only displays the ASRock logo and F2/F11 keys at the bottom.
