Hello, your Vetroo V5 isn’t fitting on the MSI Pro b660m-a because of two heat sinks blocking the space. You might be able to remove them or adjust the placement—check if there’s a way to access the mounting area. Let me know what you try!

Do you have a Vetroo V5 model with an updated bracket for LGA1700 installation? Otherwise, it won't fit because the original only supports sockets up to LGA1200 (10th/11th gen). Make sure the heatsinks aren't obstructing the space. The Vetroo V5 isn't very wide either. Are you planning to use the AM4 mounting system that comes with it? That won't work either. Also, keep in mind that unless the product has been updated, the instructions for Steps 6 and 7 are likely incorrect—the cooler should be installed rotated 90 degrees from the diagram, with the fan facing the side that has the RAM slots. EDIT: I found the Vetroo V5 manual with the Intel mounting included; it shows the steps incorrectly again. Also, my unit is the original version without LGA1700 support, but the Amazon listing says it now does. So if you have a newer model, the missing support might have been fixed. Spoiler alert!

The problem lies in how the cooler and tower interact with the heatsinks. The fan should be positioned correctly so it doesn’t press against the top heatsink of the motherboard. Checking your manual for the proper orientation might help resolve this issue.

I understand the situation better now. Seeing those tall heatsinks makes the issue more obvious: Spoiler, they’re quite large. I haven’t seen a top heatsink this big before, except on very premium boards with oversized cooling solutions. Taking off the top heatsink isn’t advised since it helps cool the VRMs. It might be an option, but you’d need to look for an aftermarket alternative. At that stage, swapping it out for a cooler that fits could be better. Does the tower affect this despite the notch meant for compatibility? Or is the problem mainly with the fan being clipped?

The tower is touching the heatsink even with the notch. Unfortunately I can't bring it back, but I might be able to find a 15$ low-profile cooler like the Vetroo Eclipse since my i5-12400f doesn’t require much cooling.
