Very unstable 1070ti overclock
So before I started overclocking, I could easily achieve 144fps in Fortnite with the highest settings. There were occasional dips here and there, but I thought that was normal. Now, even at medium settings, I’m having trouble reaching 120fps.
Then I decided to try overclocking my GPU, which is an Inno 3D 1070 Ti. I increased the power limit and temperature limits to their maximums, then adjusted my core clock to +200 and memory clock to +400. At first it worked, but it kept crashing repeatedly. Each time it crashed, I had to lower my core clock by 10 until it stabilized.
Now my core clock is at +20 (previously +200) and the memory clock is at +320. It seems my GPU core clock needed to be reduced by me after a driver update. If I didn’t slow it down, it would crash again, especially during games.
I was worried that capping the temperature might be causing the crashes, or that the GPU was slowing down with each new driver update. When it crashes, it doesn’t just stop the game—it triggers a full system reboot.
What should I do to achieve a better overclock or fix this problem?
My PC specs: Ryzen 7 1700X, Inno 3D 1070 Ti, 16GB RAM

If your overclock is not stable, reduce it a bit until it works. I've tried this before. By lowering the core clock, my core clock dropped from +200 to +20, and each time my PC crashed, I decreased it by 10. If I keep going down, I might reach zero eventually. So what's the benefit of overclocking?
