I've been using this motherboard for a while now, and everything seems fine. But I've noticed the boot time is unusually long—over ten seconds. The red status LED stays on before turning white, and it's taking longer to reach UEFI than to start my operating system. Could you help me figure out what might be causing this?

AM5 delivers impressive performance thanks to DDR5 improvements. During the initial BIOS setup, we observed boot times of about 5 to 6 minutes, making a 10-second response feel extremely fast.

It's not that bad actually. The memory context restore feature does offer some benefit, though it might cause issues. It's just how things are set up. A few seconds won't be too much.

I recorded the duration, around 30 to 40 seconds. Regardless, I refreshed my profile and turned on context restoration, and the time dropped right away! But… my memory’s still an issue.

Successfully fixed it using a CMOS reset. Hope this means I can use the slower version now. Thanks!

Memory performance can vary due to context restoration issues. If problems arise, a CMOS reset helps. Your system typically takes 20-30 seconds for posts, which is normal. We previously saw 10-15 posts per day for longer post durations—this is standard with DDR5 and AM5. Early BIOS versions often required 6-7 minutes to complete a post.

I was caught off guard by slow boot times on AM5. When setting up my 7800X3D, the initial POST took about 60 seconds (powering on until BIOS appears before Windows loads). Using MCR reduced that to just 10 seconds, and I didn’t encounter any issues. If you want to avoid the hassle of timing, check the "last BIOS time" in Task Manager under Start-up Apps in the top right corner. It might be worth giving MCR another shot if it wasn’t forced to reset after the update. Since there was no BIOS reset afterward, it could have been in a less-than-ideal state. Now that it’s cleared and functioning properly, try it again?
