Hello, I recently acquired a used MSI B450 Tomahawk with an R5 3600 and later upgraded to an R5 5600. I attempted to update the BIOS to enable the new CPU, but initially used Flashback+ which didn’t work properly. I connected a USB drive, pressed a button triggering a red light, and the PC started on its own before shutting off again. After restarting, it booted normally. Eventually, I managed to update the BIOS using m-flash and installed the new CPU. However, a new issue arose: the system became extremely slow—sluggish performance across all tasks, files moving, applications lagging, and temperatures staying below 40°C. I tried reseating RAM, using single sticks, different GPUs, and various PSUs, but nothing resolved the problem. Since I no longer have access to the old CPU, I’m unsure what might be causing this issue. Thank you.

the windows os might be from an older version, which could cause issues since it's searching for outdated files and drivers. i'd recommend starting with a clean installation.

I was certain it would work, but Windows was reinstalled. I also tried both versions of Windows.

Was die BIOS nach dem Update zurückgesetzt? Das bedeutet, die Batterie auszutauschen oder die Entfernung der Reinigungsdioden.

you have one stick of ram in slot 2.
you only have one hard drive with the os.
which ram version are you using?
also confirm there are no extra stands under the pcb, as this might lead to a short circuit.

I attempted to rebuild it for a different case due to a minor issue, but the result remained unchanged.

Check if you can proceed by clicking the green human to continue - UserBenchmark. If successful, run it without the browser open and share the results link.
