I previously owned a PNY GTX 960 with 2GB RAM, but after upgrading to an MSI GTX 970 OC, my GTA V performance dropped significantly. I've removed all mods, reinstalled the game, and cleared my settings file. Each launch consistently shows 10-11 FPS. It's unclear if the change from a 2GB to a 4GB card caused the issue, but I'd appreciate any advice. My system specs are: i5-3570K, MSI GTX 970 OC, Corsair 500W power supply, 1TB HD drive. Here’s the benchmark video: https://youtu.be/fkINLfroJbU and my settings video: https://youtu.be/sbSKS42OC-w

No, I haven't checked for updates yet. Would you like me to do that?

Have you attempted removing your graphics drivers neatly with a utility such as DDU? Also, remove the GTA V configuration file, which assisted me during my graphics card change.

You haven't done anything yet. The configuration file differs from settings.xml; it's stored separately. For DDU installation, you'll need to follow the specific driver setup instructions.

Download DDU, begin your system in safe mode, and remove every graphics driver. Once done, reboot in standard settings and fetch the GPU drivers from the official Nvidia site. The configuration file should be located at ***/Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V/settings.xml
